Dental & Health Services

Interior Health has been providing services to the New Life Community ‘Walk In Clinic’ since 2006. One of the first health care providers to do so was Dr. R W Stinson; after moving to another position within IHA he ‘passed the torch’ to the Nurse Practitioners from the Kamloops Primary Care Clinic (KPCC). Currently, Natalie Manhard, NP, supplies those services.

Dental Services

We are privileged to have the volunteer services of Oral Surgeon, Dr. Bob Risharaj, as well as esteemed Dentist Dr. Bruce Tucker, and Dr. Alex Lohachitranont, who provides denture services. We are also pleased to offer a professional staff of assistants, including a hygienist. Our services are offered at a drastically-reduced rate depending on the financial circumstances and income supports of our clientele – please feel free to inquire about how we may be able to help you or someone you know by phoning 778-471-5878 during dental office hours.

Hours of Operation:
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 9am – 4pm
Firday: 9am – 2pm

Wednesdays are “Drop-In Day”, when we serve clients on a first-come-first-served basis. It is strongly recommended that a person needing immediate attention come on this day, arriving between 7:30 and 8 am at the latest in order to get a spot to be seen that day.

Health Services

Nurse Practitioners provide accessible, efficient, and effective health care, meeting the highest standards of practice. In British Columbia, a Nurse Practitioner (NP) is "a Registered Nurse with a Master’s Degree, advanced knowledge and skills who provides high quality health care. NPs are able to diagnose, consult, order & interpret tests, prescribe, and treat health conditions. They work independently and collaboratively to provide British Columbians with Primary and Specialized Health Care using a team-based approach.” (BC Nurse Practitioner Association , 2016) We see a wide mixture of men and women from all walks of life. This provides consistent, caring, and above all, provides a much needed service to the community.

Hours of Operation:
Tuesday: 1pm – 4pm (by appointment only)
Every 2nd Thursday: 9am – noon

Street Nurses are in attendance at the New Life Community on Tuesdays from 10am to 1pm.
